Omicron BA.5 is subvariant of concern ,here are signs and symptoms of BA.5 you should not ignore

 

Omicron BA.5 Subvariant

According to CDC, nearly 80% of Covid cases are Omicron BA.5 subvariant, it was first seen in South Africa, but it does not mean it originated from South Africa , currently, its origin is not known yet.

Omicron BA.5 Signs and symptoms 

According to health care providers, they say that Omicron BA.5 shows similar symptoms compared to those seen in previous variants including congestion, headache, and fever.

But children tend to show Gastrointestinal symptoms compared to adults, those symptoms include Nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea.

What to do if you got tested positive to Omicron BA.5 subvariant?

CDC recommends staying home at least 5 days and wearing well fitted facial mask 
if you don't show fever at least 24 hours and you are showing improvement,you may end isolation at end of 5 days , and it's better to take precautions in another 5 days.
